Everything you need to know before, during, and after your Long Beach Island vacation.
Check-In & Check-Out
🕒 Check-In
After 3:00 PM
- The property will be cleaned and ready for you by 3 PM
- Check-in instructions and lockbox code will be sent prior to arrival
- Beach badges and chairs will be waiting inside
- Government-issued photo ID may be required
🕙 Check-Out
Before 10:00 AM
- Remove all personal items and leftover food
- Take out all trash and recycling (no plastic bags in recycling)
- Run the dishwasher or hand-wash and put away dishes
- Turn off lights and lock all doors
- Leave the house as you found it on check-in
Beach Badges & Gear
Every reservation includes complimentary beach badges and chairs — no extra charge, no standing in line at the beach entrance.
Beach Badges
8 beach badges are included with every property. Badges are required for beach access during the summer season. They’ll be waiting inside the home for you.
Beach Chairs
6–12 beach chairs are included depending on the property. Grab them from the garage or storage area and walk to the sand.
Outdoor Shower
Every home has a hot-water outdoor shower — rinse off the sand and salt before heading inside.

Local Dining & Attractions
Dining
LBI is packed with excellent restaurants — from fresh-catch seafood shacks to upscale waterfront dining. Viking Village in Barnegat Light has the freshest fish straight off the boats. Most restaurants are casual and family-friendly.
Family Fun
Fantasy Island amusement park and Thundering Surf Water Park are walking distance from our North Beach Haven properties. Arcades, mini golf, and ice cream shops line the boulevard.
Arts & Culture
Surflight Theatre presents Broadway-quality performances year-round. Bay Village offers artisan shops and galleries. The Long Beach Island Foundation hosts art classes and exhibits.
Water Activities
Charter fishing, kayaking, surfing, paddleboarding, parasailing, jet skiing, and crabbing. Rent equipment locally or bring your own. The bay and ocean offer very different experiences.
Barnegat Lighthouse
Climb the 217 steps to the top of “Old Barney” for panoramic views of the island, inlet, and ocean. The surrounding state park is perfect for picnics and nature walks.
Biking & Exploring
LBI’s flat terrain makes it ideal for biking. Ride the 18-mile island end-to-end, explore side streets, or cruise the boulevard. Bike rentals are available at several shops on the island.

Getting to Long Beach Island
From New York City
~2 hours via Garden State Parkway South to Route 72 East
From Philadelphia
~2 hours via NJ Turnpike to Garden State Parkway South to Route 72 East
Nearest Airport
Atlantic City International (ACY) — ~50 minutes. Newark Liberty (EWR) — ~2 hours.
Parking
All properties include dedicated parking. The Holgate property has 10+ spots; North Beach Haven properties have 2-3 driveway spots plus street parking.
Pro Tip: LBI is an 18-mile barrier island — having a car is recommended for exploring, but most daily needs are walkable from our properties. The island is flat and very bikeable.
